You Did Come On
"In Without Knocking!"
July 18 - 20, 2008

In conjunction with the CMR Stampede Rodeo Weekend, you did come and join us for two fun-filled days of reminiscing about Stanford’s lively history!  It was just wonderful to see so many folks reacquaint themselves with our community of family and friends. You exchanged great stories of old and shared many laughs and good hearted memories!

The Community of Stanford and the surrounding area would like to thank the Stanford Centennial Committee and the CMR Stampede Club for the wonderful work on the Centennial weekend.  The parade and rodeo events were outstanding!  Central Avenue and the rest of the town looked great, the Clydesdales were magnificent, and everyone had a wonderful time.

So if you happen to see or visit with Tess Brady, Carolyn Jette, Marti Blank, George Woodhall,
Bill Sloan, Steve Lillegard, Mike Kirby,
Kim Holzer, Gabe Schmitt, Pam Schmitt,
Don Andersen, Clyde Stayee, John Gee,
Keith Whitfield, Gene Todd, or any of the
CMR Stampede members, please take a moment to personally tell them how much you appreciated their work!

One of the great keepsakes being created for the Centennial celebration is a Stanford Centennial Cookbook.  Excited, so are we?  Knowing that Stanford has a reputation for its wonderful cooks, we thought this would be an excellant opportunity to share it.  Generations of families have contributed to this legacy, and what a tremendous way to share and preserve those traditions so they may be remembered and used for another 100 years.

Recipe submissions were just outstanding!  To those of you who took the time to share your favorites recipes, thank you.  If you would like to order a cookbook full of over 550 shared recipes from around the area, you can mail in a check for $20.00 and you pick it up or for $25.00 we will mail it to you. Mail check to Centennial Cookbook, Box 222, Stanford, MT 59479.  You can also
download the form, fill it out and
e-mail the information in to us.
