On Saturday at 3:00 p.m., join us at the Fairgrounds for the Free Stampede Music Fest featuring Mary Lu Loney, the Parlor Sisters & the Urick Family.  Beginning at 4:00 p.m., the Kid's Stickhorse event is sure to get the young ones primed for the rest of the weekends events, as the Western BBQ then follows at 5:00 p.m. with the Quick Draw Art Auction beginning at 5:30 p.m.  Then get ready to roll up your sleeves and wave your hand and bid on a team for the Wild Cow Milking Calcutta which gets lively right at 7:00 p.m., followed immediately by the Third Annual VIP Tent Auction.  Kick up your heels to Classic Rock & Country music during the Street Dance which begins in Downtown Stanford at 9:00 p.m.

On Sunday, July 19, 2009 at 1:30 p.m., join us at the Fairgrounds for the PRCA Rodeo and the Premier Events of Bareback Riding, Saddle Bronc Riding, Team Roping, Tie-Down Roping, Ladies Barrel Racing & Bull Riding.  The Stock is provided by Gold Buckle Rodeo.  Cheer on the teams entered for the special feature of the Businessman's Wild Cow Milking Contest.  Want some VIP treatment while you watch the Rodeo?  Make sure to participate in the Third Annual VIP Tent Auction following the Quick Draw Auction!

Sweepstakes Dinner & Calcutta

Save room after you have eaten the turkey and take a chance by supporting the local communities in the county in addition to kicking up your heels - and we don't mean on the sofa.  The Charles M. Russell Stampede Club Sweepstakes Dinner is held annually on the Saturday following Thanksgiving Day.  We know that Charlie Russell would approve of this event.  It is the way of Russell Country - coming together to meet up with old friends while making new ones!
