About CARCThe MAES Central Montana Agriculture Center (CARC) is located near Moccasin, Montana. We consider them the pride and joy of all ag research from around the state. In July 2007, they celebrated their 100th Anniversary!
Much work and pride goes into helping not only the farmers and ranchers in the Judith Basin area, but also around the state. Constantly working to improve the quality of wheat and barley for our producers as well as our grain buyers. Many hours of research go into finding crop and forage varieties and species that are more nutritious, produce higher yields, are less susceptible to disease and insect pests or produce more energy.
