The Judith Arts Society welcomes you to our Performing Arts Season!Judith Arts Society Patrons,
Thank you for sharing the 2022-2023 Performing Arts Season dedicated to our dear friend and long-time JAS board member, Norma Zimmer. Norma attended the MPAC consortium the previous January and was instrumental in choosing the artists for the season. We are sure she would have been pleased with the results. We hope you would agree. We are especially thankful to all who stepped up to support us this season. Melanie Schott and Jane Holzer graciously helped with each concert, while many other friends of Judith Arts helped make Pub Night a huge success. Desirous of bringing the arts to a larger Judith Basin County audience, the Board has decided to take JAS in a new direction. Vicky and Misty are very excited this year to be presenting TWO Pub Night concerts, one with Judith Arts at the Utica Community Center and one with the Geyser Community Club at the Geyser Community Hall. We remain committed to bringing the arts into our schools. We will be programming one educational outreach at the Hobson School with Judith Arts and one each at the Stanford School and Geyser School through Geyser Community Club. We will no longer be presenting Sunday afternoon concerts at the Hobson School. Mark your calendars for the FIRST “Pub Night,” Friday, September 15, 2023, 6:30 p.m. in the Utica Community Center. We are pleased to welcome Big Sky City Lights, an indie folk duo partnering Montana-based Nick Spear and NYC-based Susan O’Dea. The artists provide a fresh and modern sound infused with classic elements of folk, country and pop. With lush harmonies and soaring vocals, Big Sky City Lights offer a fun and mesmerizing evening of story and song. The Judith Arts Board and friends will provide complimentary hors d’oeuvres and a no-host bar featuring wine and beer selections, beginning at 6:30. The concert will begin at 7. Mark your calendars again for the SECOND “Pub Night,” Friday, October 27, 2023, 6:30 p.m. at the Geyser Community Hall. We are bringing back local favorite, Kyle Shobe and the Walk ‘Em Boys. With a combination of original music, time tested cover songs from the early days of rock and country, and more current genres, they will make even the most lead-footed of us want to dance. The Geyser Community Club will provide complimentary hors d’oeuvres and a no-host bar by Cabin Creek Bar beginning at 6:30. The concert will begin at 7. Please see the attached page for ticket information. Thank You … You are so appreciated!
