The Judith Arts Society welcomes you to our Performing Arts Season!Judith Arts Society Patrons,
Thanks to all of you who stood by us during last season as we embraced a new look for Judith Arts Society. Our hope was to bring the arts to a larger Judith Basin County audience. By changing our mission, we feel the 2024-2025 season will bring this hope to fruition. Our mission for the future is to utilize historical community halls in rural Central Montana as gathering places for all people to experience high-quality performing arts in their own communities. Through the years we have discovered the Pub Night venue draws the largest audience; therefore, this season we will be presenting three Pub Night concerts: one each at the Geyser Community Hall, the Stanford City Hall, and the Utica Community Hall. On Friday, September 27, 2024, at the Geyser Community Hall, delight in the return of a popular Montana performer, Wylie Gustafson. Accompanying him will be his band, the Wild West. They have toured nationally and internationally – as many as 60-80 shows annually – and are best known for their blend of cowboy, traditional country, folk, and yodeling. Wylie and the Wild West have released 21 albums through March 2024. You are in for a real treat. On Monday, October 28, 2024, at the Stanford City Hall, take a walk down Memory Lane as you are introduced to A Band Called Honalee. A modern-day folk trio inspired by the music of Peter, Paul and Mary, and other legends of the 1960s folk movement, the trio is musically accomplished, interactive and energetic. A great evening of timeless music! On Friday, April 18, 2025, at the Utica Community Hall, experience the soul-stirring and genre-bending blend of original and previously recorded music with Acoustic Eidolon. A duo made up of Hannah Alkire on cello and vocals and Joe Scott on guitar, guitjo and vocals, Acoustic Eidolon plays all different styles of music: Celtic, Flamenco, Americana and Rock ‘n’ Roll. They will provide a warm, funny and thoroughly enjoyable evening. Beginning at 6:30, the Judith Arts Board and friends will provide hors d’oeuvres, with a no-host bar for each venue. The concerts will begin at 7. Please gather your friends and join us for some great live entertainment. In addition to these concerts, we will continue our commitment of bringing the arts to our schools and have programmed one educational outreach for each of our county schools: Geyser, Hobson and Stanford.
